The Elaris Endometriosis Study

The Elaris Study is a clinical research study that is evaluating an oral FDA approved medication to see if it reduces moderate to severe pain associated with Endometriosis.

You May Qualify if you:

  • Are a premenopausal woman between the ages of 18 and 49

  • Have  a surgical diagnosis of endometriosis 

  • Have moderate to severe pain from endometriosis

  • Are not pregnant or actively trying to get pregnant

  • Do not have osteoporosis (thinning, weak bones) or any other bone disease

The Most Common Symptoms of Endometriosis are:

  • pain during or between menstrual periods

  • painful sex

  • depression

  • painful urination or bowel movements

  • fatigue

    Janet l. Dittus, M.D. is a practicing OBGYN (board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology) in Nashville, TN. Dr. Dittus graduated from University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1979. She completed her residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center, and has maintained a very successful practice for 39 years.

   Dr. Dittus specializes in Gynecology: additional areas of expertise include Overactive Urinary Bladder, Infertility, and Endometriosis. She currently practices at Janet Dittus MD and is affiliated with TriStar Centennial Medical Center and Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital.

   Dr. Dittus has a loving heart, and travels to Haiti twice a year. She volunteers her time and gynecology services to help women who are in desperate need of medical care. She is providing lifesaving treatment to women who have no other access to medical care.

Carol Arvin

Carol Arvin, RN, WHNP - BC is a Sub - Investigator for the Elaris Study. Carol is a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the medical treatment of women from puberty through menopause. Her current focus is the treatment of Endometriosis through the Elaris Study here at Access Clinical Trials, Inc. in Nashville, TN.

Taneka Sullins

Taneka Sullins, CCMA is the Primary Study Coordinator on the Elaris Endometriosis Study at Access Clinical Trials, Inc.. She has extensive training in Uterine Fibroid and Endometriosis Trials. Taneka is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, having earned her Associate Degree of Science from Miller Motte Technical College in 2015.

Dr. Bircher

Dr Bircher received her MD from National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982. She is a graduate of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Dr. Bircher completed her ECFMG Certification in 2004, and her Residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Medical Genetics in Nashville, TN, and is Board Certified in Medical Genetics. Ana has provided support for our women's studies through TVU, TAU, and SIS services at Inner Vision Women's Ultrasound.
